People usually reach out for therapy when something gets in the way of their quality of life being what they want it to be. Old habits stop working, emotions get too big, or something starts asking for attention they can’t ignore. You don’t need a perfect explanation for why you’re here. You need a place where you can be honest and not judged.

I offer virtual therapy for adults in Massachusetts and Indiana, grounded in calmness, humor, and a relaxed approach. Therapy isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about showing up as you are and doing the work that helps life feel worthwhile.

If you’re looking for a therapist who’s grounded, direct, and able to meet you where you actually are, you’re in the right place.

Who I Am

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana. I spent years speaking about loneliness at schools including MIT, Amherst College, Rutgers, and Northeastern—conversations that shaped how I understand isolation, identity, and the ways people try to make sense of their inner worlds.

My own lived experiences with loneliness, depression, and anxiety inform how I show up as a therapist. I know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the room, trying to figure out how to talk about things that feel too big or too messy. That perspective keeps me grounded, keeps me honest, and keeps therapy human.

Before opening my private practice, I worked in university counseling, partial hospitalization programs, and community mental health. I’ve supported people through everything from ending of relationships to suicide attempts, and substance use issues to identity exploration. People often come to therapy thinking their concerns are “too much” and no one could understand. Trust me when I say that just about whatever you have, I’ve heard it. And more importantly, I’ll be there to listen, understand, and explore ways to get you back to where you want to be in your life.

How I Work

Therapy with me is collaborative and straightforward. My perspective is shaped by a punk-informed, DIY sensibility: direct, unpretentious, and rooted in the belief that therapy should feel human, not clinical or performative. I don’t believe in gatekeeping mental health or pretending therapists have all the answers. We figure things out together.

I use humor appropriately—not to deflect, but to help people breathe a little easier while doing difficult work. I’m comfortable naming what needs to be named, calling out something when it’s getting in your way, and helping you see yourself more clearly.

Clinically, I draw from CBT, DBT, attachment therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. I’ve spent years responding to mental health crises, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, and hospitalization support. I’m comfortable sitting with difficult emotions and helping people understand what’s underneath them.

I often describe therapy like being in a car: You’re the driver. You decide how fast or slow we go, where we’re headed, and what detours we take. I’m in the passenger seat with the map open. I know how to get where we need to go, and I’ll help you navigate—but I follow your lead.

My role is to help you understand yourself more deeply, identify what you want, and move toward it with intention.

Who I Help

My primary niche is working with adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are trying to find themselves—people exploring who they are, what they want, and how to build a life that doesn’t always feel so chaotic.

I’m drawn to working with people who want to put in the work to make meaningful changes in their lives. The people I work best with aren’t looking for perfection—they’re looking for honesty, clarity, and a space where they can explore who they’re becoming.

I work especially well with people navigating:

  • career questions and transitions

  • relationship challenges, including loneliness

  • spiritual exploration or shifts

  • sexual discovery and identity questions

  • major life transitions

  • substance use concerns

  • suicidal ideation and overwhelming emotions

My clinical background includes working with college students, young adults, LGBTQ clients, and people navigating complex mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and self-harm. I help people make sense of the parts of themselves they’re still discovering—and I support them when that exploration leads into difficult terrain.

Payment and practical details

I’m a private-pay therapist. This allows us to work without insurance constraints, rushed timelines, or diagnostic requirements that don’t always serve the therapeutic process.

Session fee: $135 per 50-minute session.

Many clients choose private-pay because it offers:

  • more privacy

  • more flexibility

  • more control over the direction and pace of therapy

  • freedom from insurance-driven labels or treatment plans

If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be able to receive reimbursement. I can provide the documentation you need to submit claims.

Payment is due at each session. I accept major electronic payment methods including Paypal, Zelle, and Venmo.

Ready to connect?

Reaching out is often the hardest part. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on—part of therapy is figuring that out together. We’ll identify what you want from therapy, create goals, and work steadily toward them.

Here’s what working together looks like:

  • We meet virtually, as long as you’re in Massachusetts or Indiana.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes.

  • Private-pay only.

  • Sessions cost $135.

  • You set the pace—weekly, biweekly, or something steadier during transitions

To connect, fill out the form below. I look forward to hearing from you!
